Materials Needed:
- 1 small paper plate
- Yellow paint or yellow tissue paper
- Orange construction paper
- Googly eyes (or draw eyes with marker)
- Glue stick
- Safety scissors (adult assistance for younger kids)
- Feathers (optional)
Instructions:
- Paint the Plate:
Let the kids paint the paper plate yellow. (Or, glue ripped-up pieces of yellow tissue paper if you want a mess-free version.) - Make the Beak:
Cut a small triangle out of orange paper and glue it to the center of the plate for the beak. - Add Eyes:
Stick on googly eyes or draw them above the beak with a black marker. - Create Wings and Feet:
Cut small wings and feet out of orange construction paper. Glue the wings to the sides of the plate and the feet to the bottom. - (Optional) Add Feathers:
Glue colorful feathers to the top for a fun, fluffy touch!
